Over the weekend I asked a local comic book store if they were hitting up Emerald City. Their answer: "No, we're going to Hawaii Comic Con."
Did you know there was a Hawaii Comic Con? I didn't. So I looked it up and it turns out 2015 is the inaugural event. How exciting. It happens 199 days from today and promises to feature "the best and brightest in comic book and pop entertainment" along with "hundreds of people in costume." Hundreds! Mostly it sounds like your typical Con - gaming, an Exhibitors Hall, an international Artist's Alley, a Kid's Day on Sunday - and it also promises to have After Hours parties.

I'm curious how many people will travel to this. On the one hand, Hawaii is an expensive trip; on the other hand, it's Hawaii. Imagine if this Con had been happening while LOST was still on the air. The whole cast could have swung by.
