Send the Velocity Team to Comic-Con

Last a year a team of comic book artists and writers from South Africa and Australia presented an SDCC panel on comics in the Southern Hemisphere. It was a unique opportunity for comic nerds to discover work not normally stocked in American shops, and a much-needed vehicle for international artists to achieve higher visibility.

The Velocity Team will be back this year with a Saturday panel; international airfare being what it is, they are asking for help via Indiegogo to bring additional South African and Australian artists. Specifically, they want to bring Daniel Hugo, a Cape Town-based artist and author and Chris Beukes, an illustrator, comics art director and author, pictured above.
