Let's just get this out of the way: yes, it's the first week of November and we still haven't gotten the all-important email announcing pre-registration. We know that it's happening in November or December and most of us don't need our badges. The only people who do need their physical badges from this summer are former 12-year-olds who are now 13; see here for more detail. In the meantime, keep an eye out for the pre-reg announcement over the next few weeks.
Onto the Comic-Con Independent Film Festival. They are now accepting entries.
The deadline: 3 February 2014. I know that sounds far off but it's less than three months away.
Acceptable genres: Action/adventure, animation, comics-oriented, documentary, horror/suspense, humor and sci fi/fantasy.
Who can submit: Anyone, including you, if you've got the cinematic chops.
