No strollers allowed in programming rooms

11 JULY 2012

Yikes. Sorry, parents: strollers are no longer allowed in rooms 2, 4, 5AB, 6A, 6BCF, 6DE, 7AB, 8, 11AB, 23ABC, 24ABC, 25ABC, 26AB, 28E, 32AB, Ballroom 20, and Hall H.

While this makes sense for obvious seasons, it's going to be burdensome to get to a panel carrying all your stuff and a small child. I imagine the worst part is making do without that stroller while waiting in line.

But are strollers in panels even that frequent? I don't see too many people with young kids in the big rooms, likely because containing a toddler during a three-hour line is almost impossible. It's in the Exhibit Hall that I find strollers ramming my ankles or see people mistaking the stroller for an empty patch of floor, and then sprawling over it. Not that I'm advocating banning them there, it's just part of the Exhibit Hall fun.

So. If you need to park a stroller, there are parking areas throughout the convention center. They're free and on a first come, first serve basis.

Happy Preview Night, everyone. :)
