The Friday programming is up!
Hall H draws in everyone within a 50 mile radius: Paranorman at 10:45, then Big Bang at 12:05, Walking Dead at 1:25 and Game of Thrones at 2:45. Then Resident Evil: Retribution at 4, followed by SONY (Total Recall, Looper and Elysium) at 4:35.
Ballroom 20 should also be popular: Community at 10, Legend of Korra at 11:15, Firely at 12:30, Bones at 1:25, the screening of Arrow at 3:00, Joss Whedon at 5:30, Breaking Bad at 6:45.
Indigo Ballroom has Adult Swim all day in various iterations.
The Black Panel is at 10 in room 5AB. I'm guessing Shaquille O'Neal will draw a crowd but independent of him, I've heard this is a good panel.
6BCF repeats Preview Night pilots screenings: The Cult at 11:30, followed by Park Avenue 666 at 12:45. Falling Skies is at 4:30.
Mike Mignola will be holding court at 11:00 in Room 4.
This doesn't seem possible, but Lenore is 20 years old this year. Roman Dirge is discussing that and his new Lenore collection in 23ABC at noon.
io9 is doing their usual "Sci Fi that will change your life" in room 7AB at 5:00 pm. This is a quiet, low-key panel where you'll hear recommendations for books and movies you might have missed. I try to always make it.
The CBLDF is discussing censorship and comic books in 11AB at noon.
Nostalgia reigns strong with panels on My Little Pony (23ABC at 10), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (6BCF at 10:15), Shazam! (25ABC at 3:00) and Blade Runner (6BCF at 7:00.)
There are more industry and creation panels today - manga, self-publishing, digital art and web publishing, more legal issues and distribution.
Probably one of the most popular writer panels: Ed Brubaker and Robert Kirkman in room 6A at 4:45.
Paranormal romance has a panel again in room 5AB at 12:30, with superstar authors Kelley Armstrong, Marjorie Liu and Aprilynne Pike, among others.
Not just for gay people: a panel of queer comics at 2:00 in Room 25ABC. Panelists include brilliant Alison Bechdel, Justin Hall, Paige Braddock, Trina Robbins and Eric Shanower, all discussing Fantagraphics' amazing new anthology No Straight Lines.
Chew fans will want to be in room 8 at 2:30.
Magic: The Gathering is in 24ABC at 6.
Resident Evil: Damnation is in room 5AB at 7:30.
Spotlight panels on Herb Trimpe, Michael Uslan, Lynn Johnston, Kate Beaton, Larry Hama, Brandon Sanderson, James Robbins, Ben Saunders, Nate Powell, Scott Snyder and Jeff Lemire.
More Hall H and Ballroom 20 playback in 25ABC from 8-11 pm.
The Eisners are in the Indigo Ballroom at 8.
Spike and Mike are in room 6BCF from 10-midnight.
Not sure if this will be considered the best day of the Con, although Hall H will definitely be madness and Ballroom 20 should pack them in too. But everyone should find something - fantasy fans, gamers, readers, TV and comic book fans. All in all, though, I'm curious what Saturday will hold.
